The ferry quay to Trouville

From the ferry quay, turn left (east) onto the gravel road until you reach Sandhamn’s Seglarhotell.
Here, you can either walk in front of the hotel along the piers or continue on the gravel road behind the main hotel building.
In front of you, a narrower gravel road goes up beside the padel court. Follow it.
The gravel road gently ascends and then continues along a plateau.
After about 250 meters, the SAT trail turns left into the sparse forest onto a sandy forest path that is still relatively wide. Walk along the fence, keeping to the left side of the blue house.
This path leads you above a beautiful beach (down to the left) and then gently slopes downward through the sparse forest towards the coast until you are quite close to the sea. Follow a fence that remains on your left side.
Continue on the trail until you reach a gravel road near a small marina. First, turn right, then at the first intersection, turn left, continuing eastward. You will now see the sea straight ahead.
Just before reaching the beautiful sandy beach, the SAT trail turns left, passing a rock slab and leading down to the beach. Walk along and across the beach directly south until the trail continues on the “road” between the houses.
At the next intersection, turn right, away from the sea, then turn left at the first intersection again, heading straight south for a few hundred meters. You will reach a small slope leading down to the left, onto Trouville Beach.
Trouville to Västerudden

Cross Trouville Beach to the right (west), walking about 25 meters inland from the water.
On the other side, you will see a small rocky hill. The trail goes along its right side.
On the far side, the trail descends again onto a new forest road that passes to the right of a large property with a wooden fence.
Continue on the same forest road, passing the “football field” on your left and walking along the coastline. You will be in the sparse forest about 30 meters from the water’s edge.
Follow this forest road until you reach signs on the trail/road indicating “private.” Here, the SAT trail veers down onto the beach, then turns right along the water before heading back up onto a forest trail after passing the private property. Continue westward.
Soon, the trail ascends away from the beach into the sparse forest. Several paths branch off here—keep heading in a northwesterly direction, which is the natural route to follow.
You will emerge onto a wider forest road near some houses. From here, you can turn left toward Västerudden and then return to the same spot to continue right (east) along the properties toward the village.
Västerudden to the ferry quay

Follow the forest road eastward toward the village. Just after the cemetery, turn right and then left along the fence.
Next, take the next left turn again.
From here, the trail markings are not very clear between the houses. The markers are placed on lampposts.
Descend towards the water, following the gravel road to the right above the boathouses but below the houses. After about 100 meters, the trail turns right onto a rock slab. This is as far as you can go on the gravel road.
From here, head up toward the opening in the fence between the houses, next to the large white house with green details. On your left, there is a beautiful “viewpoint hill” with a northern view.
Among the houses, always keep to the left-hand path. You will pass an exposed rock on your right before spotting the yellow customs house, where you emerge into the harbor next to Sandhamns Värdshus.
From here, follow the gravel road along the harbor back to the ferry quay.
