This section of the Stockholm Archipelago Trail on Möja is one of two sections that do not form a complete loop around the island.
Möja has several ferry quays where you can catch the public ferry, making it possible to walk this as a linear route.
We recommend walking the section from north to south, but of course, you can do it the other way around as well.
The trail is easy to follow as it runs along a gravel road with one detour along the eastern coast.
Långvik
From the quay in Långvik, the trail heads south along a gravel road. In Långvik, there is a general store open in the summer, good food at Jeppes more or less year-round, and the opportunity to visit the Långvik Distillery.
Detour to the Eastern Coast
950 m from Långvik
Along the gravel road, you will find a detour heading east. It is 600 meters to the coast and a very scenic spot.
Please respect local flora and fauna by staying on the marked trail.
When you reach the coast, be mindful of the private properties to the north and south of the trail. Just south of the final hill before reaching the water, there is an outhouse you may use—please leave it in better condition than you found it.
After enjoying the view, return the same way to the gravel road and continue south toward Ramsmora.
Ramsmora
1.7 km from Långvik
700 m from the detour
When you arrive in Ramsmora, you will see the picturesque village.
About 400 meters south of the village along the gravel road, there is a turnoff east toward the ferry quay and the Roland Svensson Museum. It is no more than 200 meters from the main gravel road to the quay.
Well worth a visit.
Löka
3.9 km from Långvik
2.2 km from Ramsmora
At the three-way junction in Löka, you can walk to the left, about 300 meters to the Löka ferry quay to catch the public ferry, or turn right along the main gravel road towards Berg.
We continue towards Berg.
Berg
4.9 km from Långvik
1 km from Löka
Just north of Berg, you will see the summer dance pavilion. Then you will pass the hostel, and shortly after that, you will reach a turnoff heading east into Berg village, right by Möja Inn.
In Berg, you will find a grocery store, a summer bakery, summer restaurants, a tourist office, and the ferry quay.
If you continue straight along the main gravel road, you will reach the guest harbor after 100 meters, where there are toilets and water available.
Möjaström
5.6 km from Långvik
700 m from Berg
From Berg, the gravel road turns more westward towards Möjaström.
At a three-way junction, the gravel road goes 200 meters south to the ferry quay.
If you go north, the road continues to Hamn.
There is no ferry quay or services in Hamn, so you will need to return to Möjaström to catch the boat or to Berg for any amenities.
Hamn
9 km from Långvik
3.3 km from Möjaström
Hamn is a very charming seaside hamlet.
