Ingmarsö Norra Brygga to Ingmarsö Södra Brygga
1,4 km
After disembarking at the ferry quay, follow the gravel road 200 meters to a 3-way intersection.
Turn right on the gravel road for 75 meters. At the next Y-junction, go straight (leftish) and follow this gravel road for 600 meters.
At this point you will come to a “big 3-way intersection”.
Go straight (south) on this gravel road to reach the guest harbor, Ingmarsö Krog, the country store, and the ferry quay at Ingmarsö Södra Brygga — about 500 meters.
If you turn left instead, the trail section continues.
Ingmarsö Södra Brygga to Femsundsbadet
2.0 km
From the ferry quay at Ingmarsö Södra Brygga, go straight along the gravel road. You will pass Ingmarsö Krog and the country store. After about 100 meters, you will reach a 3-way junction. Straight ahead is the guest harbor. To follow the trail, go uphill to the left on the gravel road.
Follow the road uphill for 400 meters to the “major 3-way intersection” mentioned earlier.
At the intersection, go right (east) with the field on your left.
Continue along the gravel road for 400 meters to the next 3-way junction at the edge of a small sheep pasture.
Here, a sign points to the bakery on the right (well worth the detour).
The SAT trail continues on the gravel road to the left, heading north and then east.
Walk about 700 meters on the gravel road to a wide trail entrance on the left. Take this trail.
After about 100 meters, you will reach a point at the top of a gentle downhill where the SAT trail splits.
To the left (north), the trail leads to the ferry quay at Ingmarsö Norra Brygga — forming a loop (see Option 1 below).
To the right, the wide path first leads to Femsundsbadet (100 meters) and then continues toward the rowboats that can be used to reach Finnhamn (Option 2 below).
Option 1: Femsundsbadet to Ingmarsö Norra Brygga
2.8 km
Take the forest path uphill to the left (north) through the gap between the rocks.
Follow this beautiful trail for 400 meters until it turns sharply right (if you reach a house on the gravel road, you’ve gone too far).
At the 90-degree turn, continue on the trail for 700 meters through lovely forest, briefly along a lakeshore, then around a field on the left side — it can be a bit wet here.
You will reach a tractor road. Follow it for 200 meters past a few houses to a gravel road.
Turn left (west) on the gravel road. After about 50 meters, turn left again (south) onto a forest road.
Follow this forest road for 200 meters until it becomes a trail by a field on your right. The trail gently climbs through the forest to another gravel road near some houses. Follow this road for 200 meters to a 3-way intersection. Turn right (north).
After less than 100 meters, you will pass an old root cellar on your right and reach another gravel road heading right (north), next to a barn.
Turn right (north). After 100 meters, you will reach the heritage center and Ingmarsö B&B.
Continue between the houses and walk another 300 meters to the next 3-way junction.
Turn left (west). After 300 meters, you will arrive at Ingmarsö Norra Brygga.
Option 2: Femsundsbadet to the Rowboats
3,7 km
From Femsundsbadet, continue on the wide trail eastward for about 100 meters to a pasture.
Enter the pasture and close the gate behind you.
Follow the wide trail along the left edge of the pasture to an open area. The trail then veers left up the slope — about 200 meters to the next gate.
Pass through and close the gate.
Continue on the same trail past a house and across a wide boardwalk — about 250 meters to the next pasture.
Enter the pasture and close the gate.
Follow the fence on the right (south) side to the next gate. Go through and close it.
Follow the trail for about 300 meters along the shoreline to a bridge.
Cross the bridge and go right at the next trail junction (about 150 meters from the bridge). Here you will leave the “Båtluffarled” which you will meet just by the rowboats again.
The trail now goes straight East, partly along a powerline until it turns north. Follow it some 500 metres.
Here you will cross the Båtluffarled which will come from the left (west) and from there it is just another 150ish metres to the rowboats. This is also where, if you are staying on Ingmarsö, that you can make a loop following the Båtluffarled back towards central Ingmarsö.
Rowboats to Femsundsbadet
3.7 km
From the rowboats, follow the trail 150 meters south.
You will come to a junction where the Båtluffaled goes right, east, towards central Ingmarsö. You go straight on SAT, due south.
The trail continues south, then it turns east along powerlines until you reach a trail junction and where it joins Båtluffarleden again. Turn left, south.
Follow the trail downhill to a bridge (about 150 meters). Cross the bridge.
After the bridge, continue west along the water for about 300 meters until the trail goes through a gate into a pasture.
Go through the gate and close it behind you.
Follow the pasture along the left (southern) fence to the next gate.
Go through and close the gate.
Continue across a wide boardwalk, past a house, and through another gate (about 250 meters). Close the gate.
The trail continues through the pasture — about 200 meters downhill along the right side of the fence — to the next gate.
Go through and close the gate.
From here, it is just over 100 meters west on the wide trail to Femsundsbadet.
